- All rules listed in Department 8 apply to this department also.
- Birds hatched before January 1st of this year will be classed as cocks or hens. Those hatched after that date will be classed as
cockerels or pullets. - Please list breed on entry form.
- Meat Poultry – A meat pen consists of 2 to 4 birds. Birds should each weigh between 3 and 5 pounds and 7 to 8 weeks of age. Each bird will be weighed at time of entry. 4-H exhibitors may exhibit 2 meat pens and birds will be sold at the Livestock Sale on Friday.
- Entries close August 15. Birds must be on grounds by 4 pm Wednesday of the Fair.

Section 102 – Youth Photography Contest
Premiums: $5, $4, $3, $2, $1
- This contest is for 4-H members carrying poultry projects this year.
- Youth must place their name, age and club information on the back of the photo related to poultry.
- One entry per exhibitor. Photo of poultry cannot be entered in another photo class at Fair.
- All photos must be 5” x 7” and in color. No frames or mounts, each photo should be placed in a plastic sleeve for display.
- Photos will be judged for clarity of picture and creative skill.
- Entries must be submitted to the 4-H building by 4 pm on Monday before the Fair.
